Poems for Vampires

Poems for Vampires is a selection of newly commissioned poetry-drawings from Lou Lou Sainsbury’s ongoing research in the domain of the vampiric, working from the Medieval English lyric ‘Fowelles in the Frith’. In the crossroads of vampirism, sensuality dizzyingly exceeds its limits, beings fizzle together and blood beats harder. Resonant, discordant, a sucker for the beat.

“Those little fishes ate words in water in the flood, the flood that ate the fish, who ate the water, who ate the fish, who ate the water, who ate the fish, that ate the spelling of their own names.”
