Whitstable Biennale’s poet-in-residence, Dzifa Benson, will perform her poem, I Told It to the Sea, with a new composition by composer Dimitri Scarlato. I Told It to the Sea carries the concept of ‘afterwardness’, the theme of this year’s festival, in its heart and contemplates letting go of the things that no longer serve us well.

Dzifa will be joined by two young musicians from the Royal Academy of Music playing violin and cello, for a live performance at the end of the West Quay on Whitstable Harbour.
